I have been hand building and painting ceramics since 2015.

Hey! I’m Emma, the owner of the clay covered hands behind Mud Made Ceramics. I can often be found in the middle of a clay dust cloud, in my tiny studio space in our Buckinghamshire cottage.

I am a self-taught potter striving to broaden my skill set year by year, and I enjoy spending my free time experimenting with new tools and methods.

I work with mostly stoneware and porcelain. I hand build and individually sculpt all my pieces. All of my work is hand glazed, and I decorate each piece individually using an extensive collection of paint brushes (I am quite fond of my brush collection.)

I am inspired by nature, animals, insects and all things cottagecore. The pieces I work on in my own time heavily reflect the forest floor and local woodland as its our favourite place to spend family time.

I am a commission based artist, I work to creative briefs for individual orders, wholesale orders and stockists.
